(No such thing as a stupid question.)

We want you to perform out ceremony for us. What next?
You can contact us by telephone at 850-864-3723 or contact us via at picklerweddings@aol.com. We will gather information from you, and determine how we can best assist you! If you like, we can set up a consultation with you where we can talk in depth about your ceremony. If you are currently out of town, and are planning to visit our area, we'll be glad to schedule a time to meet and greet you while you are here.

How can you help me? Why are you different?   We offer many wonderful services, including wedding planning, coordinating, an ordained minister (male),  photographer, caterer, baker, fresh florals, custom written vows, sand ceremony, family vows, many ceremony decorations, personalized reception decorations, and more!  We are different for several reasons.  First, we are a family owned and operated business.  Secondly, we have a passion for weddings.  To us, it is NOT in it for the money.  We are ultimately in the wedding business for one reason...that is you!  The satisfaction of creating a wonderful, stress-free, happy, beautiful day, without breaking your savings for you to remember for a long time.

What happens if you cannot perform my ceremony due to an emergency?

Once we have agreed to perform your ceremony, we consider this a very sacred trust.  We work closely with several other ordained ministers so in the event of an emergency, I will be able to find someone great to perform your ceremony.  In fact, in their emergency situations, other ministers have relied on me.  The bottom line is that if you book me for your wedding, you will get a beautiful, memorable wedding that you and your family will  remember fondly for years to come.

We don't belong to a church but want to get married in one.  What do you suggest?    Most traditional churches only rent their churches to members. However, I have several local churches that I am offiliated with in this area. There availability dates may differ from mine, so if that is your choice, I must verify with that church before confirming your date.

What do you wear during the ceremony?
We dress in a professional, suitable fashion.  The minister can wear a suit and tie, sport coat and slacks, collared shirt with khakis or even khaki shorts. Regarding appearances and every aspect of your ceremony, we strive to make the wedding a joyous occasion and not cause any offense to any guest or to even the bridal couple themselves.  Just tell us what is important to you and you will get exactly what you want.

How long is the ceremony?

Most actual ceremonies are between 15-30 minutes, depending on what the couple wants to include in the ceremony. The length of the ceremony is totally up to you and should be only as long as you want it to be. The length depends on several different variables including:  will someone read a poem or sing; how many people in the bridal party processing in and out, will youhave a sand ceremony, etc. The length of the ceremony matters not to the price of the package or service quoted.

What is your fee?
There are many variables for every wedding such as location, date, time and complexity of the ceremony. If you email or call us with the particulars of your wedding, we will get you a quote to suit your budget in a short period of time.

What is the process for getting a marriage license?
See License info for the rules for Florida Weddings.

What types of ceremonies do you perform?
See Ceremonies. We have many types of ceremonies:  Traditional, alternative, non-denominational, Christian, religious, spiritual, civil, second marriages, vow renewals, family vows, sand ceremonies, and more.  We will customize your wedding to be exactly what you want it to be.  You will not be disappointed.

Where do you perform ceremonies?

No matter where you wedding is, we can help you have a great ceremony. We can officate weddings wherever you are getting married, including churches, reception halls, parks, outdoors, or even at your home.  If you need a suggestion for a great spot, just ask us! We have beautiful beaches and a wonderful condominium with beach and a terrific reception hall for catering, music, and fun!

Do you know any outdoor sites for a wedding ceremony?
Yes. Over the years we have performed many ceremonies in parks, gardens, town gazebos, and ocean fronts. We would be happy to recommend some of our favorite sites depending on the size of the wedding and the location relative to where the guests are coming from. Since it is impossible to predict the weather, we recommend that an alternate place be picked in case of inclement weather on the wedding day.   There are several options for rain out, although to date, we have never had to use the rain-out plan.

Do you require premarital counseling?

No, we do not require premarital counseling. You and your partner are adults and your choices in such matters are strictly your own. However, we offer suggestions or advice for pre-marital counseling and are happy to provide resources and help you any way we can.

Do you require a rehearsal?
We are more than happy to do the rehearsal, as they will help you feel more comfortable about the big day.  Also, we have the entire wedding script in front of us during the wedding ceremony, all of which you pre-approve weeks before the big day.  We put our heart and soul into each wedding ceremony and personally make it our highest priority to make each one great.   We can assure you that you and your guests will absolutely love the wedding ceremony.        We totally guarantee it.

Can we use a credit card to make a deposit or pay for our wedding?
We do offer payment by Visa, Master card, Discover, American Express, personal checks and cash.  We also can offer a great payment plan if you have a larger wedding and we also do the reception for you!

How do we find out how much our wedding will cost before we commit to you?  We spend some time getting to know you and your needs during the first couple of contacts.  Then once we gather all of the pertinent information from you, we draft a proposal for your review.  After all parties agree on the services and fees, we ask that you sign a contract to secure the time and date of services.  Feel free to contact us for more information.
