Marriage License Information
* Marriage Licenses must be obtained in Florida for the Notary or
Minister to perform the ceremony in the State of Florida.
* Licenses can be obtained at any courthouse in Florida and you
can get married anywhere in the state of Florida.
* Your marriage by the Florida Notary or Minister is legal worldwide.
Important facts you need to know when applying for a Florida license:
· Bride and Groom must be 18 years of age, and both be present.
· Photo Identification, such as a driver's license, is required.
· No blood test is required
· If either party has been divorced in the last 6 months, a copy of the
divorce decree is required. (No docs required if more than 6 mos.)
· The marriage license remains valid for 60 days after date of issue.
· Licenses cost approx. $95
· For Non-Florida residents: there is NO waiting period.
· For Florida residents: Either a 3-Day wait period or a 4-Hour counseling
session is required.
